Life Update - Hello Motherhood

I have been a little quiet on my website recently, and for very good reason! I wanted to come on here and explain my radio silence. Late last year I became a mother to two beautiful baby girls. Priorities, life, and outlook have since drastically changed. I have given myself space and time to enjoy the motions that this new journey brings, hence my absence.

Noor and Gia were born a couple of days after Christmas at 36+2 weeks. They are the center of my universe and I wouldn't have it any other way! They are thriving at 5 months old and already have big personalities. Noor and Gia have taught me so much in the space of five months, with patience being the key - I am sure every parent can attest!

Becoming a mother was something that I really looked forward to and I was surprisingly prepared for how huge a commitment it is. Everything else really takes a backseat with the first six to ten foggy weeks being all about survival. I cannot say I am used to the sleepless nights, messy hair, multiple servings of caffeine, and milk stains, and I don't know if I ever will. What keeps me going is them. The little sounds they make and change every week, the silly things that have begun to make them giggle, and watching them explore the world around them. I won't say it's easy, because it's possibly one of the hardest things I have done yet - to be responsible for life. Having the title of mum is undoubtedly the most important role I am playing in this crazy thing called life, and every minute counts because it truly passes so fast - I began writing this post when they were 10 weeks and finishing now on their 5th month of life.

I will share more on them soon. For now, look at those legs.
